Company Profile
Bòrd na Gàidhlig is an executive Non-Departmental Public Body established by the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act (2005). It is the principal public body in Scotland responsible for promoting Gaelic development and providing advice to the Scottish Ministers on Gaelic issues. It's main current priorities are;
reversing the decline in the number of Gaelic speakers in Scotland by increasing the number acquiring the language,
adding to the range of situations in which Gaelic is used
help speakers of Gaelic to develop their competence to ensure it is a healthy vibrant language.
