Come and get your hands on The Skoog - a new musical instrument for children and adults of all abilities (as featured in The Times Educational Supplement).

Skoogmusic Ltd creates new ways to make playing music more accessible. The Skoog is a fun accessible cube sensitive to how and where it is touched. Designed to be played with, and not just touched but pressed, squeezed, twisted, rubbed, or struck.

The Skoog was conceived as part of the Tapestry Partnership’s ‘Music and the Mind’ initiative in collaboration with NESTA, East Ayrshire, North Ayrshire, Fife, North Lanarkshire and the University of Edinburgh.

The Skoog™ is a fun, accessible cube, sensitive to how and where it is touched, that when linked to a computer delivers the quality and expressive character of real musical instruments. It is tactile, soft, robust and wipe clean. You can interact with the Skoog™ with any part of the body.

Designed to be played with. To be handled, and not just touched, but pressed, squeezed, twisted, pinched, struck or rubbed.

Designed with children, parents and teachers in mind it is simple, intuitive and enjoyable. For use on its own or in groups, with or without musical training.
